What is commercial conveyancing?

Commercial conveyancing is the transfer of the legal title of commercial property from one person or party to another. There are normally two stages to this: the first is the exchange of contracts – the point at which the terms of sale are agreed. The second is the completion – the point at which the legal title is transferred from one party to another.

There are different types of commercial properties. These can include an office building or block, retail shop or a warehouse. Buildings that house industrial operations, including those for heavy manufacturing, flexible industrial (buildings with a blend of industrial space (s) and office space and light assembly buildings are also classed as commercial buildings.

In addition, commercial buildings also include those that house multiple units, such as multi-family apartment blocks are also classified as commercial buildings.
